We brought Lily home with us on July 23. We came looking for a tiny kitten but my 6 year old wanted to look at Lily's sister. When the foster mom's notes about Lily's sister said she wouldn't do good with small kids, we decided to look at Lily instead. It was love at first site. She's a little older than we planned but it is just a perfect match. She loves EVERYONE - even my 6 year old picking her up all the time doesn't phase her. She is a bit of a diva - my king size bed is barely room enough for Lily and myself, she's such a bed hog! She is the sweetest kitty. I have never ever had a kitty who purrs as much or as loud as she does. She is very well trained with her litter box and so well adusted to being around people. I am so thankful to her foster mommy for making such a loving enviroment for her - it is obvious in Lily's personality and demeanor that she was loved very much before we found her.
My older son is getting ready to go to college in a few weeks. Having Lily will make the transition easier for my 6 year old who will be missing his big brother. And I'm sure she'll help mom with the transition too!
Thank you, Northwoods Humane Society, for taking sure good care of this baby girl until we found her. Or rather, until she found us!
